The Temporal Adjustment Bureau sees the dangers of a new Jagaroth Empire, so sends the 4th Doctor to Paris to stop Scaroth changing history.

The War Doctor/9th Doctor (Hurt) is ambushed by a Dalek Squad, so leads them to the Centuroid Wars in order to destroy them.

Taking Davius home, the Timelady 10th Doctor sets off on a quest but falls into a trap set by The Mistress of Lies and regenerates.

The 4th Doctor boldly goes where he’s never been before as he crosses over to an alternate timeline to help the Timeship Tempest get back on track.

After arriving in the Gallifreyan Intergalactic Federation, The STARDIS crew are taken prisoner. The NeoGallifreyan Doctor regenerates into his 14th life and Tori uses her powers to stop a Screamer, like an Interdimensional Shark from tearing the universe apart.

The Timewars will escalate into OMNIWARS as The Supreme Obliterator TimeDalek remembers his previous life as A Doctor and shuts down every Centuroid Armada across the Whoniverses.

Doctors collide as the new 11th TimeLady Doctor meets the 14th NeoGallifreyan Doctor and the STARDIS crew. They help her leave her Reality for good.

The STARDIS is captured by the evil and twisted forces of the Interdimensional Gallifreyan Inquisition.

Tortured and interrogated, The NeoDoctor realises the identity of the Supreme Inquisitor-

He is The Dark Doctor, the Abomination, The Time Ripper, the Beast, The Valeyard.

The 14th NeoDoctor’s nightmare is just beginning.

SERIES4-

In A World Without the Doctor, The CyberLeader struggles to make sense of the ripples through time and two sets of Pre-Conversion memories.

Roarilon wants Dr RRR, but gets The Masterr instead, meanwhile Dr. RRr and The Surgeon have fun then part ways.

The Omnilords rescue The NeoDoctor and other Alternate Doctors and burn the Inquisition down, although The Dark Doctor escapes.

In another World without the Doctor, Rose Tyler faces the Mannequin monsters with the help of Osgood.

Dr RRR goes on a quest for the Omnimatrix as Dr. Ool is introduced.

The Last of the TimeLadies meets the Obliterator Master.

In the Season 4 Finale, The NeoDoctor, Star and Tori face a Dalek Invasion of Liverpool and the fall and Regeneration of the 14th Incarnation- Nothing will ever be the same again!

Ian’s Travelblogs no more- Beyond 6th anniversary

tvp6aTigletverse Travel and Photography- update

I’ve been reading a bunch of old blogposts from 2011/2012. I did a lot of hiking back then, also writing up where I went to as well. That was before the video blogging, or Vlogging on Youtube.

I’ve never got the time these days, nor an organising principle to get myself, err, organised!

So, I merged both Tiglet’s Travels and ITA in 2016, creating Tigletverse Travel and Photography, with one Facebook page (please Like!) and not much up on Pinterest. BUT NOW ON FLICKR! With Wild Walks on the Welshside kicking off 2018- so far I have been to Wepre Park (twice), Flint Castle, Loggerheads, Llwyni ponds, Bailey Hill in Mold, Caergwrle Castle, Southport and a walk to Another Place for an Awesome sunset, Chester in the Snow and round St. George’s Hall for my Birthday and finally going round Spike Island in the fog one Monday morning, and that was all before Easter!

I have also been along the Bridgewater Canal- Preston Brook section, Etna Park with a bit of the Buckley Heritage Trail, Pex Hill and Blundell’s Hill after a job interview (which I didn’t get!) Liverpool Lightnight, including the performance by Bring the Fire Project. I also saw the Museum of the Moon, which is an artwork based on NASA photographs and seems to be on tour in several places at the same time. I have also taken a few pics of the real thing, along with Sun pictures, including New Brighton and West Kirby Marine Lake.

Event-wise, Wales Comic con was awesome, been to Liverpool museum and an amble round Chester on the Upton Scarecrow Trail.

I have been attempting to catch up on a mass of editing, of both photos but mainly videos, so hopefully will have caught up with those by the end of June, which will bring me to 500 videos, though the next episode of Dr. RRR’s Guide to the Whoniverses is going to be more complex than the Morbius one, so WHO knows when that’ll be completed!

So that’s it, that’s the big update for Spring and the Summer-so-far on the Hiking/Event front.

STAY GROOVY AND SMOOTHIE!

GREY DOMINION- Trailer 1- I slept through the apocalypse

GREY DOMINION- Trailer 1- I slept through the apocalypse

gd2

I’ve put up a new video on my Youtube channel. Shocking, I know! After putting up a dozen hikes and events from Jan-March, I’m now behind again on April’s events. One thing I spent most of last weekend on was the footage I had shot of ‘The Mothership’ or Mersey Dome at Pierhead, New Brighton and Woodside the other week. This is part of Grey Dominion, an unfinished film script I first outlined back in 1997/98. Set in 2028, a decade after Contact with the Grey Dominion, the last few resistors discover the truth behind the Greys and witness the End of the Grey Lord’s reign.

There are several obvious influences- V, War of the Worlds, Independence Day. When I learned that the new version of War of the Worlds was being shot in Liverpool, I thought I had best get a move on with my own version.

I was going to work on the sequel to Tiglet’s Time Travels- again featuring an invasion centred on Liverpool. In fact, most of my scripts/short film ideas are set in or around the city and I’ve made over a hundred videos of different places and events over past five years. GD I actually pitched to Phil Redmond when I was involved with Shout radio- the Student radio society at JMU, but didn’t really develop it into a Radio play. I did pitch a Doctor Who version in about 2000 to BBC Books, but that wasn’t accepted, so I lost interest and worked on other things.

I have also been watching V again, as it was the 35th Anniversary last week. Most of the storyline of GD began as a ‘Liverpool Resistance’ story, although it was headed by Stevie Kuza, a Japanese student. When I changed the Lead to Lucius, who I thought might be Black, but I don’t know if that would be best. I mean, what do I know about Casting? I’ve sent CV’s to Agents in the past and heard nothing, I’ve cast myself in several puppet shows including doing Dalek voices, plus had my Nephew’s in Pawlock , but Casting Other People? Okay, let’s do it!

So, I will be getting that sorted in the next couple of months and hopefully get two more trailers done and the main shoot by the end of the summer- though I am aware I’m not the best at scheduling either- IW 5 has only one story out of six finished, so that’s dragging its feet. But the journey to get GD made has begun!

The 23 lives of the Doctor- The Brain of Morbius Doctors

the forgotten doctorsREGENERATION 101- THE MORBIUS DOCTORS

How far, Doctor?  How long have you lived?  Your puny mind is powerless against the strength of Morbius.  Back, back to your beginning . . .”                                             – Morbius

The 23 lives of the Doctor- The Brain of Morbius Doctors

There have been several times in the history of DW when the Question of Who The Doctor is and The Mystery of his identity comes up. In the Brain of Morbius eight more faces appear after Hartnell, leading to speculation on who they could be.

Here’s what Wikipedia has to say-

During the Doctor’s mental battle with Morbius, the mind-bending machine displays two images of Morbius, then images of the Doctor’s four incarnations as of the serial’s production. These are followed by images of eight previously-unseen faces, intended to represent incarnations preceding the First Doctor. The Doctor’s previous faces are portrayed by production unit manager George Gallaccio, script editor Robert Holmes, production assistant Graeme Harper, director Douglas Camfield, producer Philip Hinchcliffe, production assistant Christopher Baker, writer Robert Banks Stewart, and director Christopher Barry.[5][1] Hinchcliffe stated, “We tried to get famous actors for the faces of the Doctor. But because no one would volunteer, we had to use backroom boys. And it is true to say that I attempted to imply that William Hartnell was not the first Doctor”. [6] After a complaint, the BBC paid a sum of money to the actor’s union Equity benevolent fund. [7]

The season 14 story The Deadly Assassin would introduce the idea that Time Lords are limited to 12 regenerations, with the number being confirmed in the season 18 story The Keeper of Traken. Attempts to retrofit this fact with the number of faces seen in the mind test machine have brought about explanations including the possibility that the faces were Morbius’ previous incarnations, younger versions of the First Doctor, or the Doctor’s potential future incarnations. [1][8][9] The Virgin Missing Adventure Cold Fusion by Lance Parkin implies that one of these prior Doctors was the incarnation of the Doctor active at the time of the birth of Susan Foreman. However, the subsequent Virgin New Adventures novel Lungbarrow states that Hartnell’s Doctor was the first, implying instead that the faces represent incarnations of the Other, one of the founders of Time Lord civilisation, of whom the Doctor is the reincarnation.[10]

Seems pretty straightforward. Then I found this on THE HISTORY OF THE TIME LORDS PART III

MIDDLE GALLIFREY

Pre and Morbius Doctors Era-

How far, Doctor?  How long have you lived?  Your puny mind is powerless against the strength of Morbius.  Back, back to your beginning . . .”                                             – Morbius

The earliest known face worn by the Doctor (Christopher Barry)

-4500??        (Several thousand years before Doctor Who and the Silurians / at least 75 years after Quences is born)                 The Other emerges from the looms as the Chris Barry Doctor.  The Doctor has had some bodies and lives that he doesn’t admit to.   This Doctor will be nicknamed the Maverick.       NOTE: The mystery of the Morbius Doctors is a tricky problem.  They appear to exist before the Doctor left Gallifrey, and yet the Doctor and most (if not all) Time Lords regard the Hartnell Doctor as the Doctor’s first body.  It is known that the Doctor was married to Patience for much of time he spent in these lost incarnations, and that both he and his sons served on the High Council.  It is also known that the Doctor had not regenerated and had no interested in romance when he turned 200 at the Academy.  In order to get married and have a son that served on the high Council it would seem likely that the Doctor would be at least 330 when he was in the Camfield body.  However the Doctor’s leaving Gallifrey would have had to occur at this point.  For now I’m assuming that the Morbius Doctors were a reincarnation of the Other that occurred shortly before the birth of the Hartnell Doctor.   He married Patience, raised a family and the Doctor (and his son) served on the High Council.  When the Council discovered that the Doctor having naturally born children the Watch attacked and the family was scattered.  After experiencing at least 8 incarnations the Other Jumps Looms (i.e. enters the loom distributor and was woven into the biodata of the Hartnell Doctor), who was conceived with the help of the Loom of Lungbarrow.  Thus the Hartnell (and all subsequent Doctors) are a mix of the Other/Morbius Doctors and the half human half Gallifreyan conceived by Ulysses and Penelope.

Much to everyone (including Patience’s) surprise Patience becomes pregnant with Doctor’s child.  Patience and the Doctor’s first child, a son, is born.    The child of this first born off-spring  (Susan) is the Doctor’s grandaughter, Susan.  At the time of the son’s birth the Doctor, claims he is getting old.

The Doctor (George Gallacio)

-3900??            The Doctor regenerates for the first time. The Doctor has had some bodies and lives that he doesn’t admit to.  This Doctor will be Time’s Champion.

??                     (before the grandaughter’s birth / 2 million years after the Curse)                   The Doctor had a large family that he loved.  Patience and her husband (the Doctor) have children, 13 sons and daughters.  They wear blue clothes most of the time.  None of them become Housekeeper of Blyledge but they all live and grow up there.  None of their children are named Miranda.

-3323~??         (299, or 3462 or 4332 before Lungbarrow)                 Jobiska of the House of Lungbarrow is Loomed.

The new Doctor (Robert Banks Stewart)

-3300??             (after the birth of his son)             The Doctor regenerates.  His new body has a beard.  The Doctor has had some bodies and lives that he doesn’t admit to.  This Doctor will be nicknamed the Innocent

The new Doctor (Phillip Hinchcliffe)

-2700??            The Doctor regenerates.  His new body has dark hair. The Doctor has had some bodies and lives that he doesn’t admit to.  This Doctor will be nicknamed the Imp.

-2500??            (probably at least 2000 years after the Doctor is born / before the birth of the grandaughter)                 Patience’s husband sits on the Supreme Council and may have been a Doctor.

The new Doctor (Douglas Camfield)

-2000??               (centuries before TID / hundreds of centuries after the Curse / the day before the Grandchild is supposed to be born / after centuries of being Patience’s lover)               Patience’s husband, the Doctor, regenerates.  His new body has light colored curly hair and a dark beard. The Doctor has had some bodies and lives that he doesn’t admit to.  The Doctor and Patience’s first born son’s wife is going to give birth to the Doctor’s grandchild tomorrow.  One of Susan’s parents (almost certainly her mother) was related to Rassilon (who was probably from House Fordfarding).   This Doctor will be nicknamed the Scientist.

The new Doctor (Graeme Harper)

-1500??      The Doctor regenerates.  His new body also has a beard. The Doctor has had some bodies and lives that he doesn’t admit to.  This Doctor will be nicknamed the Explorer.

The new Doctor (Robert Holmes)

-1000??            The Doctor regenerates. The Doctor has had some bodies and lives that he doesn’t admit to.  This Doctor has been nicknamed The Warlock

The new Doctor (Chris Baker)

-500??       The Doctor regenerates for the last time before becoming the First Doctor (ie the William Hartnell Doctor).  He has dark hair and a dark moustache.  The Doctor has had some bodies and lives that he doesn’t admit to.

Morbius’ first and final incarnation

(probably around 270 days before the Doctor’s birth)                 The Time Lord Ulysses and (probably British) Human woman Penelope Gate use the Loom of the House of Lungbarrow to facilitate an interspecies pregnancy and conceive a child. Possibly as a result of the Micen Island incident the Chris Baker Doctor jumps looms and is woven into the biodata of Penelope and Ulysses’s child.  This child will become the Doctor.  The Other/Doctor loses all memory of Patience and his time as the Morbius Doctors.  Ulysses will arrange to have the Doctor “loomed” into the House of Lungbarrow.  The Doctor comes from a family of explorers.                 NOTE: The 7th Doctor claims that he has been born from a Womb twice.  This probably refers to the birth of the Other and the birth of the Doctor (via Ulysses and Penelope).

Snail (the Doctor) remembers his birth because the Other and the “Morbius Doctors” were conscious in him.  The Other/Doctor loses access to memory of Patience and his past as the Morbius Doctors.  The memories of these former lives are protected by one of the Doctor’s dreams; a female custodian named Verity.  She guards the essential essence of the Doctor.

?        (while very young)             The Doctor often dreams of stars. Despite the fact that it is very rare for Time Lords to dream, the Doctor believes that dreams are whole reason for taking time to sleep.  The Doctor suspects that Dreams are all rehearsals for future realities.

The Doctor’s name in the Omegabet, his CIA designation, and possibly the name of the Other?

WEBSITE-

http://meshyfish.com/~roo/docwho2b.html

(NOTE- I have tried to keep the formatting as it is on the page, including colour-codes- it didn’t work as it kept the text, not pictures or formatting- ah well!)

That is William B Swift’s version, which is pretty good, I think. It does make sense of some of the 7th Doctor’s statements, which came about as the Production Team were trying to reintroduce mystery into the Character. I DO THINK THOUGH THAT INCLUDING THE INFINITY DOCTORS (IN BLUE) IS A MISTAKE, AS IT IS CLEAR THE DOCTOR IN THAT NOVEL IS FROM A PARRALLEL UNIVERSE/ALTERNATE REALITY.

Anyway, as with the question of The Valeyard, it is something that hasn’t been addressed onscreen in years. The question of it being MERLIN from the Arthurian Realm is also a possibility.

So, that means then that the question that must be asked is- how is the doctor connected to THE OTHER? There is a mystery in itself, because of course, the name of the show is –DOCTOR WHO????

Also- the Youtube video The Ten Doctors by Babelcolour includes a plausible reason why The Doctor only remembers fragments of his Forgotten lives. (Part 4)

So, has THE DOCTOR had 23 lives? Only time will tell!

Events- FOR THE LOVE OF SCI-FI- Liverpool Comic Con Edition

033It was yet another manic Sunday as I headed off on an epic journey to the Echo Exhibition centre in Liverpool for a Regeneration of Liverpool comic con nearly three weeks ago.

When I heard that MCM had dropped Liverpool from its roster, I had hoped someone else might take over. Phil from Mersey Comic Con, the first CC event I went to at Liverpool Uni in 2015, OR Paul who put on the excellent Southport CC, or Dave from MSE, or Loz from Hamfest or Alistair from Chester or Jaime from Wales.

Stepping into the breach at the Exhibition centre was Andy who runs FOR THE LOVE OF SCI-FI weekend at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Trafford Park, Manchester. FTLOSF was the best CC of 2016. A perfect way to end the year. I got so many pictures and enough clips that ended up in about half a dozen videos, including two episodes of Dr. RRR and the cosplay group shoot. Funtimes.

December 2017 was less fun. I had wanted to go Saturday and then Wales CC Sunday, but Saturday had sold out because William Shatner was there, so went Sunday. It was a bit cramped and overcrowded, it didn’t help there was queues all over, so I took what photos I could and went back for Movie Wonderland at the end of Christmas, which was like a ghost town, but much better for shooting videos!

Anyway, the week before the event I had strained a muscle in my leg and had been limping to work, so Saturday rested it.

I thought it was much better Sunday, but as I walked up the steps there was a massive spasm and it was painful hobbling round. Think I might have overdone it a bit! Even sitting down for lunch (at £10 for fries, 5 pieces of chicken and a 7up) it still ached, so got a few interviews, although the background chatter was still noisy, but then, the upstairs lounge area wasn’t available this time. I hope that changes for next year. The Arena Stage wasn’t used either, might have been because there was a Gymnastics event on, but I hope the stage area might be moved back in there next time.

So, for a first attempt it was really good, shame I couldn’t enjoy it more as my leg was being such a pain, both figuratively and literally!

I think though there should be a Thunderbirds exhibit next time, as Andy and his team did jump in just like International Rescue

Thanks to Christian W, Andy T and Thomas H for the interviews.

Thanks to Delroy, Mark, and all the Cosplayers!

Thanks Paul, Nic, Sheikh and other stallholders/exhibitors

Thanks to the Andy and the Organisers for rescuing it. And Exhibition Centre staff for hosting.

THE TIMEDALEK INVASION OF LIVERPOOL PART TWO- AFTERMATH!

15th Neo doctor – THE TIMEDALEK INVASION OF LIVERPOOL PART 2- AFTERMATH

Over the last year or so, I’ve been working on ideas for IW and ending the series. August 2016 I wrapped up series4 killing off the 14th NeoDoctor and him regenerating into a Female Incarnation. I had a few ideas for a successor, primarily a shoot on Geek Girls featuring Moira Lafae as the Fourth Doctor. It should have been easy, but I had to get the follow-up written, which has taken a little bit longer than planned, (yeah, a year in fact!) I had planned last March, then the summer, then winter 2017, but adding and changing things meant it kept getting pushed back. Then I had to get permission off the photographers, which took a bit longer, as there were three credited, but one I couldn’t figure out. In the end it just made sense for me to find someone I had photographed and get them on board the STARDIS!

Enter Annie, who I met at MCM Liverpool a year ago

The Burning Skies Cosplay group is a bunch of Doctor Who cosplayers on Facebook, from all over the world, but based mainly in the UK. I’ve been to a couple of their shoots, which have been such fun. So, once Annie had agreed, I had to crop the photos and then sort out the covers- and voila!  The 15th Neodoctor is here at last!

Now I’ve got to figure out what to do for the multiple/multiversal Doctor mashup for the finale of Series 5, oh what joy!

In the meantime- here it is at last- THE TIMEDALEK INVASION OF LIVERPOOL PART TWO- AFTERMATH!

Happy reading!

1 reason Jodie Whittaker is perfect as the New Doctor

15th dr1 reason Jodie Whittaker is perfect as the New Doctor—

“My Successor? It could even be a Woman. There’s no reason why The Doctor should always be a Man”

Tom Baker on his ‘retirement’ from the role of Doctor Who.

(Quoted from Regeneration- The Mystery of Ages. The Time Travellers Guide by Peter Haining. 1987. (1995 edition))

Yes I know I have used that quote before, but it seems some people just don’t get it. It has finally happened. Speculated on in the tabloid papers and online for years and parodied in the Red Nose day sketch ‘Curse of the fatal death’ in which Joanna Lumley featured, Moffat has been paving for the way for it for the last few years, with the mention of The Corsair being a ‘bad girl’ to the General regenerating onscreen into the female general and the appearance of Missy.

There are probably a whole host of reasons I could make a list of, 10 or 5 are the most popular way of doing it, but really, there is ONE good, solid reason why –

BROADCHURCH

This is a far cry from the first thing I saw her in- attack the block, which was rubbish, and here’s my review of it-

https://iancaimercer.wordpress.com/2011/11/14/attack-the-block-dvd/

Anyway, I posted the video I made shortly after the announcement of Jodie Whittaker being cast as the new Doctor.

I didn’t want to get into the whole argument of whether it’s a good move, but you know it is really, so just accept it.

As I said before- Regeneration 101 will go into the whole mechanics of how a sex-change Regeneration works, and there has been precedent, not just over the last couple of years but in the classic series too. Tom Baker himself said why not, and there’s even been a XenoRegeneration (Species-change) I’m also going to explain why the numbering is wrong (15th not 13th!) and get into that as well, oh joy!

But for now, just enjoy my video and the hints of what’s to come in both Doctor Who and Infinite Whoniverses series 5- now rescheduled for Easter 2018!

And watch Broadchurch!
