Welcome to Anything can happen 2017!

Well, that’s what I’m hoping for anyway. A Fresh Start, a New Beginning, the slate wiped clean.keep-calm-because-anything-can-happen-1

To start with- I went to the shop and bought some wellies. I think my subconscious might be trying to tell me something- that was an impulse buy. Maybe my little jaunt round Talacre taught me to be more prepared than I already usually am for whatever eventualities may occur. It looks like it’ll be an epic five-part video anyway, plus I haven’t updated the five year anniversary like I thought I would.

Another thing I am planning in advance is Dr. Rrr! Series 2. In amongst the tidying and sorting I have not watched much this Christmas. (Really? How about Deep Space 9 series 7, or Brave or Thunderbolt Fantasy, or Doctor Who- The Return of Doctor Mysterio/Hell Bent/Spearhead from space, or Yuri on Ice finale (yes, really!) or even last episode of series 6 of Game of Thrones, what a revelation at the end!)

Okay, I might have watched a few things, but nothing really Christmassy, unless you count Nativity 3 in school or Cinderella in New Brighton, but that was before Term ended. Rogue One doesn’t count as an Xmas film, but saw it twice, the second time enjoyed it a bit more, but definitely more darker than others, about same as ep 3 I expect, but the prequels don’t really count anyway, in my opinion.

So there we go, anything can happen now I’ve got some wellies. It’s like when Ford Prefect tells Arthur Dent in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy that the only thing he needs to survive is a towel, so I guess that’s next on my shopping list.

For now though, I’m eating my first pizza of 2017 and watching the New Sherlock- now there’s an epic combo if ever there was one.

Happy 2017- Get ready and keep your wellies handy, ‘cos anything can Happen!!

Anything can happen Tuesday!

Well, I went walking anyway! I did start by working on a superhero short story for an anthology submission, but my family were driving me crazy, so got out of the house and headed west into Liverpool. I thought why stop there and then thought-let’s get out further, see how far I could go. So got to the far side of the Wirral and thought- why isn’t there a ferry over or a tunnel under the Dee so I could get to Wales? Damn, so went on a circular amble from West Kirby up to Hoylake then along the beach and back down to the Marine Lake.

Might not sound that exciting, but it helped me complete a section of the Wirral Circular Trail I had not done before (just leaving a section between Hooton and Eastham to do- huzzah!) and giving me space to clear my head and get a bit of inspiration. I have to say I am chuffed with the results, four new vids in a day and an interesting NEW Series- I have had a few ideas of what to do next, though I’m back in work so there’s a time and locale limit- basically having to get to Chester every day, no matter where I go.

So, there we are, Anything Can Happen Tuesdays have begun!!!

Okay, picking up from where I left off the other day. ITA is now an archive, but I will end up putting up new posts at some point, today it’s Tiglet’s turn!!

I have been wanting to do some kind of Photography page, maybe on Facebook, along with Ian’s Travelblog Adventures, Tiglet’s Travels and Infinite Whoniverses, but four pages? Three blogs and Pinterest, plus Linked In, Youtube and Twitter, how much can I juggle? Well the ball’s been dropped on everything at one point or another, so I need to focus, consolidate, and I guess the non-updates on hiking have meant that’s the one to go. Not that I’d ever give up hiking, just writing about it.

SO, rolling everything together. I have sorted a page on Pinterest, but since it only let’s you post one pin at a time, it’ll take ages to get what I want, I guess I’ll just have to pick my best pictures. It’s a start.

And with all that said, I’m off to Beatleweek (sigh) It never ends does it?

Good job I like a challenge then!!

anniversary-2xMY 6TH BLOGGERVERSARY- PART 1-

‘So you can’t fly if you never try’-

Reluctant Heroes- Attack on Titan

So, today is my 6th Bloggerversary- hurrah for me!!

There are times when I wonder why I bother- The only Travelblog I have to write up is going up to Pex Hill, so I’m wanting to pack in Ian’s Travelblog Adventures, maybe archive the page and try and focus on turning Tiglets page into a photography page, put all my eggs in one basket so to speak. I’m also not sure what I’m doing for Beatleweek this time. Of course I’ll be catching the Mona Lisa Twins, but I’ll have to see who else is on.

I just know I’ve been fed up, disillusioned and frustrated with things for a while now. Trying to make changes, apply for jobs, write new stories rather than the four I keep submitting to magazines. It has become something of a ritual for me to spread a dozen half-completed, completed-but-need-editing and just-begun stories over my bed and go through them a sentence at a time. I have edited one story (Captivated- now Making the First Move) but after a month it’s still doing my head in. I think it’s because I saw a lot of anthologies and magazines with upcoming deadlines, so at least one is ready for the end of the week! (Splickety magazine deadline 26th August- All’s fair in love and uniform issue) So that’s one done anyway!

One thing that I have really enjoyed is doing more photography with the Cosplaying and anime crowd. The Japan Day on Saturday was brilliant, so shall have to post photos from that. Indeed, maybe I should stop wasting time with the elitist BBC and western media and submit stuff to Anime and Manga companies instead. Tiglet as a Manga? That could work! Tiglets Time Travels as an Anime- oh yes indeedy!! I am working on separate reviews for Attack on Titan and other anime, but I am surprising myself by how much I’m enjoying watching just first episodes of things and seeing what happens, dizzying but good.

So, change- I need it!!! How’s it going to happen? Zod knows, because I’m Clueless!

PS- I wrote all that this morning and a few things have happened since then-

Firstly, I have introduced drop-down menus to archive and categories on blog- viola!

Secondly, I exported Ian’s Travelblog Adventures onto a Page instead, so it’s still loading so I don’t know if it’s worked, here’s hoping!  (It didn’t!)

Nope, so I included a link, which mean I’ve got two ‘About’ pages now, looks like I’ll have to continue this tomorrow. Right, I need cake- make a wish!

Mother’s day again

TIGCRAFT MDI didn’t feel like doing a MD blogpost last week. Hell, still don’t wanna do it, but made a Tigcraft video, so there’s no excuses.

I also had no money whatsoever and couldn’t go out anywhere; life sometimes sucks beyond the telling of it.

Anyway, here’s Tiglet’s latest effort in the Tigwarts School of Tigcraft and Gimmickry series.

What is your Aspiration/to what do you Aspire?

I got asked a question on Youtube about why I make my hiking videos (Pale Heights one) So this is a question I’ve been pondering the last few weeks.

aspire1What is your Aspiration/to what do you Aspire?

And I have to admit that I haven’t quite figured it out yet. It’s a Creative Compulsion, I am compelled, need to, want to, desire to make something, to create, to be creative, even with virtually no resources- just a second-hand camera, basic editing knowledge and equipment and a few free mornings to go somewhere or write something.

And what an explosion of Creativity I’ve had this year! 28 Infinite Whoniverse stories, getting past the 200 video-mark, my Fifth Bloggerversary, had TWO proper bands let me use their songs (Mona Lisa Twins- These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ for Hiking theme and Traffic Experiment’s Vashta Nerada theme for IW/Dr. Rrr’s Guide to the Whoniverse- Episode 3 coming up next Sunday!) And I haven’t even mentioned I AM (Indie Authors Merseyside) yet, but with three short stories published elsewhere (and a Fourth in Courage 2015, when it eventually gets released! And no, I won’t be attempting NaNoWriMo this year!) I am taking small, very tiny steps forward. Yes I know I want to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but small steps help as well.Well, that’s all nice, but for me, my hope is that I’ve created something worthwhile, a little philosophical nugget, golden or Chicken, makes no difference.

Yes, there is the exhilaration and joy of going somewhere new, and filming it, documenting the experience and then inflicting it upon the rest of the universe. Then there’s the puppet videos, not quite in the same league as The Muppet Show, but I’m a one-Man Band and do what I can,

it also helps that I’ve a few, not many, but a few friends who have helped out.affirmation-320x230

So, there’s another Monday morning gone, in a rambling mini-essay. I guess I’ve half-answered the question, what do I hope to achieve? A few Likes on Tiglet’s Facebook page? A couple of new followers on Twitter? Maybe get a few more views and a comment on Youtube??

Oh yes, and that I’ve had a bit of fun along the way!

Go on, tell me, what is your Aspiration/to what do you Aspire?

your aspiration are your

Epic commentary on this one video! Oh dear, three days to do (Well, mornings anyway!)

Ian's TravelBlog Adventures!

ITA- The River Dee

So, the Anniversary video has been completed and uploaded to my Youtube channel, took me blinkin’ long enough!

Five years since I began the main blog and three and a half years since I began Travel blogging,

I even used The Mona Lisa Twins version of ‘These Boots are made for Walking’ as the theme, along with shots of my boots along the Sandstone Trail, Rhyl beach and paths

Then one of the first pictures from Corwen in Wales, looking over Caer Drewyn from Pen-Y-Pig.

Next is a clip from the trailer to Pirateez, the short serial I devised in 2013. There had been a Professional Storyteller in School, Richard O’Neil, leading a storytelling fortnight. I vaguely recall him saying something along the lines of stories are everywhere, you just have to use whatever’s at hand. What was at hand were Pirate figures and when I got home I found…
