Vashta Nerada- The Doctor Who Theme Cover Version by Traffic Experiment

a3976739639_10It’s a brand new version of the classic theme- a fantastic Rock anthem, Electric Guitar led and fast-paced. It is beyond awesome, it is beyond fantastic, it is breath-taking in its brilliance and simplicity.

It’s also the theme for Dark Journey, a brilliant WHOLOCK crossover series that teams the Doctor with Sherlock Holmes against Jack the Ripper. As such it’s a darker tale, not quite suitable for children (or the faint of heart!)

While the rock version of the Theme tune has been covered before, Pink Floyd alluded to it, as did Orbital, but after seeing Capaldi jam in the TARDIS, it got my searching Youtube/Googling and found THIS!

Traffic Experiment is a Guildford-based band who have realeased several free tracks on their website, including a great rendition of Bowie’s Space Oddity, but Vashta Nerada stands out as the absolute best, and I love the ending!

It’s also free to download, so you can have it on a loop-repeat like I have for the past few days if you really want to!

They also have a few other albums on their Merchandise page, such as Blue Suburbia and have a follow-up project for this year they haven’t released yet, so keep on eye on their website for details.

Traffic Experiment- Vashta Nerada– so needs to be the TV Series theme tune!

10 and 10 billion out of /10
