Ian’s Travelblog- A Ferry With a View (1/2)

31 Mar

In both the Otterspool Promenade and Albert Dock posts I took photos of the River Mersey, the Wirral and the Mersey Ferry, so it was inevitable that I would take a cruise.

A warm, Spring day and a Star Wars theme at Spaceport conspired to create such an event.  With a sense of excitement, me and my Nephew James got to Pierhead Terminal, queued up to get on the ship and scrambled to the Foredeck (that’s the front of the boat for all you Landlubbers!)

As we set sail upon the fair River, the Sun shining, the wind in our sails and the waves rolling beneath us, there were some great photo opportunities, which were taken as we approached Seacombe.  I even managed to get the first photos of the year looking over towards Liverpool, so there’s another achievement ticked off the to-do list for 2012!

As for what happened when we got to Spaceport itself, well, that is a tale for tomorrow!!!
