Ian’s Travelblog- Merseywalks- Hale Lighthouse to Speke Airport

23 Jan

The River Mersey has a number of pathways along it.  Hale Head is a fine one, in the Spring or Summer that is.  With a strong ‘bracing’ wind and rain pelting down, it’s not the ideal hike in the bleak mid-winter.

It was still a bit of an adventure though, trying to take shelter amongst a few trees, actually making it to Speke Beach in less than an hour, the quick pace helped.  Then I had to scoot out of the flightpath of a Plane landing at Liverpool Airport, scary!

I’ll have to go back again in the Spring once everything grows back and there’ll be more Wildlife to capture, if I can work the camera fast enough!
